Description (1957) Class L2, being the surviving locomotives of a class of 6 Metropolitan 2-6-4T's, with 5'6" driving wheels, acquired by the L.N.E.R. from the London Transport Board in 1937. They were constructed in 1924 from parts of S.E. & C.R. class N 2-6-0's, partly built at Woolwich in 1919 but not completed. Both engines were scrapped in 1948.
