Description (1957) |
0-4-2ST, built by Kerr Stuart in 1921 for the Corns Railway. Sold in 1951 to the Tal-y-Llyn Railway and now running on that line as No. 4 Edward Thomas. Both of the above two engines were withdrawn from British Railways' stock in 1948 on the complete closure of the Corris Railway. They possess the unique record of having carried the same numbers, 3 and 4, under four successive ownerships: Corris Railway, Great Western Railway, British Railways and Tal-y-Llyn Railway. |
