Description (1957) Class A3 Gresley Pacifics, originally introduced 1922, the first two engines coming out under Great Northern ownership. The earlier engines of the series had 180 lbs. pressure, but all have since been rebuilt with 220 lbs. pressure in line with the later development of the class, first introduced in 1927.
