21/02/1953 Scottish Miscellany No 42211 is regularly appearing on L.N.E.R. workers' trains to. Singer. The only engines working on the Cairnryan Railway at present are WD 109 and WD 112, both austerity saddle tanks. The Whithorn Branch is served by two trains daily, one generally by a C.R. 0-6-0 and the other by a standard L.M.S. class 2. L.M. class 5 engines and 'Jubilees' are working passenger train on the Stranraer-Dumfries section, while Fowler Moguls and C.R. 18&frc12;' goods work the freight. J. F. McEwAx, 10/3/53. SLS/195304
