Historical Data Originally a class of 20 engines ordered by the Swedish and Norwegian Railway and delivered in 1887/8, that company was unable to pay for them and 2 of the engines were not even sent abroad. These 2, S&N Nos 25/6 were sold in 1889 to the Barry Railway who renumbered them 35/6. 16 of the other engines in Sweden were returned to the makers in 1891/2 and were sold on to two companies in Germany. The remaining two engines were sezied by bailiffs in 1891 and were eventually brought back to Glasgow bin 1895. They were offered to the Barry Railway who bought them and numbered them 92 and 93.
