Description (1957) |
Class B1. Thompson general purpose 2-cylinder 4-6-0's with 6'2" wheels built between 1942-50. They replaced G.N.R., G.C.R., and N.E.R. Atlantics, various G.C.R. 4-6-0 classes, and 4-4-0's from all of the constituent L.N.E.R. companies. No. 61057 was scrapped in 1950 after a collision at Chelmsford. |
