Description (1957) Class B13. Sole survivor of a class of forty 6'1%." 4-6-0's built between 1899 and 1909 for the North Eastern Railway. This engine was withdrawn from ordinary traffic in 1934 and used as a counter-pressure locomotive for testing purposes at Darlington and later at Rugby. This was scrapped in 1951 as No. 1699.
