Description (1957) |
Class J27, a further development of the three preceding classes (J24-J26). 105 engines were built 1906-23 and all still running in 1956. Nos. 65860 onwards constructed by Sir Vincent Raven, had superheaters and piston valves, but in some instances the superheating elements have been removed. |
