Description (1957) Class J77. Originally Fletcher 0-4-4 well tanks for the N.E.R., built 1874-84, and rebuilt at York and Darlington as 4'1" 0-6-0T's between 1907 and 1921. In all 60 locomotives were converted, with 27 still running in 1956.
