Description (1957) Class J93, survivors of a set of nine 0-6-0T's acquired by the L.N.E.R. from the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway in 1937. Some were built new at Melton Constable between 1897 and 1905, while others were partly rebuilds of Cornwall Mineral Railway engines built 1873-74. The last survivor of the class, No. 8489, was taken out of service in 1949. None received its allocated British Railways' number.
