| Description (1957) |
Class S1/1. Robinson heavy 3-cylinder 4'8" 0-8-4T's, built in 1908 for shunting in Wath marshalling yard. No. 69901 was rebuilt in 1932 with a booster to the rear bogie, the booster being later removed. This locomotive was classified S1/2. All scrapped by 1957.
Class S1/3, being Gresley's development of the original Great Central design, built in 1932 with booster, which was later removed. Both scrapped by 1957. |
