Notes After it was withdrawn, this engine was bought by the Harton Coal Company in order to operate passenger services on the South Shields, Marsden and Whitburn Colliery Railway from Westhoe Lane station in South Shields and Marsden. As such it was renumbered HCC No 7 (replacing the previous J21 to carry that number, LNER No. 1616). It was scrapped in 1939.
