The shed is in a triangle formed by the Glasgow-Ardrossan,
Glasgow-Largs, and Ardrossan-Largs (G.S.W.) lines. The yard is
partially visible from all three lines.
From Ardrossan Town Station.
Turn left outside the station into Princes Street. Bear left at the
end into Arran Place, and continue into South Crescent Road. Turn
left into Kilmenny Terrace, and left again into a footpath leading past
the Bowling Green. Turn right over a footbridge by Castlehill Signal
Cabin, and right again into a footpath running parallel to the line.
Cross the railway by means of a further footbridge, and a path leads
from this point to the shed. Walking time 25 minutes.
From South Beach Station.
Turn left outside the station into South Beach Road, and right at
the end into South Crescent Road. Turn right again into Kilmenny
Terrace, and continue as above. Walking time 20 minutes. |
