The shed is on the east side of the main line south of Eglington
Street Station. The yard is partially visible from the line.
Turn right outside the main entrance to Glasgow Central Station
along Gordon Street. Turn first right into Union Street and left into
Argyle Street. Continue into Trongate, and turn right into Saltmarket.
Continue over Albert Bridge into Crown Street. Fork left into Rutherglen Road, and turn right into Polmadie Road (after a considerable
distance). The shed entrance is on the left hand side, just before the
railway underbridge. Walking time 40 minutes.
Note: Loco’s are sometimes left in a siding on the opposite side of
Polmadie Road to the shed. |
