1947 Directions The shed is on the west side of a goods line known as the Pontop and South Shields Branch.
Turn left outside Tyne Dock Station into Boldon Lane. Turn right into Green Lane, cross the railway bridge, and turn sharp right into a short dead end. The shed entrance is a gate on the left hand side at the end of a block of houses.
Walking time 20 minutes.
A circular bus service labelled Simondside runs from Tyne Dock Station to the corner of Green Lane and Wenlock Road near the shed entrance.
Note: The coal stage is some distance along the line from the shed.
