| Description (1957) |
Vale of Rheidol 2-6-2T's with 1' 11½" gauge. No. 9 (numbered 1213 until March, 1949) was one of the original Vale of Rheidol engines of 1902. Nos. 7 and 8 were built by the Great Western in 1923 and are identical to the original. In 1956 all these engines were painted green and named respectively Owain Glyndwr, Llywelyn and Prince of Wales. The last name had been carried by the engine before being taken over by the G.W.R. in 1923. |
