Description (1957) Class Y8, being a smaller version of class Y7, constructed for the North Eastern by Worsdell with marine type boiler. No. 8090 was scrapped in 1948, and the second locomotive became shed pilot at York, renumbered D55, but was withdrawn in 1956.
