The shed is in the fork of the main and North Shields lines east
of the station. The yard is partially visible from both lines.
Turn left outside the south side of Heaton Station along North
View. Continue along this road to the end. A path leads to the shed
from a gate in Chillingham Road opposite the end of North View.
Walking time 5 minutes.
Note: There are conductor rails in the vicinity of the coal stage.
