The shed is on the south side of the line between Hurlford and
Barleith Halt. The yard is visible from this line and from the main
line.
From Barleith Halt.
Turn right along a short cul-de-sac outside Barleith Halt. The
shed entrance is at the end of this cul-de-sac. Walking time less than
5 minutes.
From Hurlford Station.
Go straight ahead outside Hurlford Station along the main road.
Turn right into Mossbank Road, and right at the end into the main
Dumfries road (A76). Cross the railway bridge by Barleith halt and
turn first right into the cul-de-sac. Walking time 20 minutes.
Note.-There is a bus service from Kilmarnock to Hurlford village,
the distance being about 3 miles. |
