Description (1957) Class T1. North Eastern 3-cylinder 4'7" 4-8-0T's, designed for heavy shunting duties. Ten engines were built in 1909 and a further 5 in 1925. Two of the original lot were scrapped in 1937, but the remainder were all still in service until 1955, two more being withdrawn in that year and others since.
