Class D15 better known as the Great Eastern 'Claud Hamilton' class, 4-4-0's with 7'0" driving wheels. Built 1900-3, the whole class comprising those engines not converted to class D16. They were rebuilt between 1915 and 1931 with Belpaire boilers and all were scrapped by 1952. The original engine, No. 2500, Claud Hamilton, which had been converted to class D16/3, was withdrawn in 1947. |
