Class D31. North British 6'6" 4-4-0's, originally 48 engines of three classes designed by Holmes, built 1884-99, and subsequently rebuilt into one class. The last seven survivors were scrapped in 1952. To make way for the new class K1 engines built in 1949-50 the last three remaining locomotives, Nos. 62059, 62060, and 62072 were renumbered 62281-3. |
