Description (1957) Class J36. North British Holmes 0-6-0's with 5'0" wheels. Originally 168 engines in the class built between 1888 and 1900. Twenty-five of them served in France during the First World War and on return were given commemorative names. About ninety of the class are still in service.

Historical Data Livery applied was usually unlined black but red lining was quite common after grouping. Two locomotives were turned out in lined apple green after WWII.
